MAN has signed a contract with the Münchner Wirtschaft together with 14 other companies, and all of them voluntarily plan to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) by 40,000 tons by the end of 2017. “We have reached the top of the climate!” MAN has introduced its goal to reduce carbon dioxide by 25% by 2020. To that end, MAN has developed detailed energy saving and carbon dioxide reduction measures in which the Munich power plant will play a major role in reducing gas combustion by 20 to 40%. In addition to MAN SE, other companies such as Allianz SE, Bayerische Landesbank, Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, BayWa AG, Giesecke & Devrient GmbH, HypoVereinsbank UniCredit Bank AG, Knorr-Bremse AG, Linde AG, MTU Aero Engines AG, Munich RE, OSRAM Licht AG , Siemens AG, Telefónica Deutschland Holding AG, and Telekom Deutschland GmbH have signed a climate conservation agreement.
